The GR20 described below is in sixteen stages, but some walkers take between 10 to 12 days to complete it. The record being 37 hr !!!

STAGE 1: Calenzana to Ortu di u Piobbu. Walking time 5.30hr. Distance 21kms.

STAGE 3: Carrozzu to Haut Asco. Walking time 5hr. Distance 6kms.
Total ascent: 860m. Total descent: 715m.

STAGE 4: Haut Asco to Tighjettu/Vallone sheppherds cabins. Walking time 5.30hr. Distance 8kms.
Total ascent: 1000m. Total descent: 840m.

STAGE 5: Vallone sheppherds cabins to Ciottulu. Walking time 3hr. Distance 6kms.
Total ascent: 550m. Total descent: 200m.

STAGE 6: Ciottulu to Castel di Verghio. Walking time 2.15hr. Total distance 8kms.

STAGE 7: Castel di Verghio to Manganu. Walking time 5.30hr. Total distance 17kms.
